Our Senior VFX producer Jenna Powell (Good Omens) was in good company this morning at leading TV industry event #ContentLondon, talking about creating #VFX for high-end television on the Genres panel.
Jenna joined industry colleagues James Whitlam (Framestore), Paula Bird (Axis), Guarav Gupta (FutureWorks Media) , Jonathan Cavendish (Imaginarium) and Bryan Elsley (Skins) who chaired the panel.
The panel agreed that the explosion of episodic TV content production – as Netflix, Amazon, Apple et al raise their game – coupled with rising audience expectations mean that the VFX industry is busier than ever. The panel highlighted the potential for television drama producers to maximise creative collaboration with VFX studios if they are involved early in the development process and to build on those relationships.
