The latest, very hotly anticipated Good Omens trailer is here, featuring visual effects created by Milk.
The visual effects work for Amazon/BBC’s six-part TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s acclaimed cult novel was overseen by award-winning VFX supervisor and Milk co-founder JC Deguara.
Equal parts humour and horror, fantasy and drama Good Omens makes its debut on 31 May 2019 on Prime Video before being broadcast on the BBC at a later date.
Good Omens stars Michael Sheen and David Tenant who play angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley respectively; Benedict Cumberbatch as Satan as well as Miranda Richardson, John Hamm and Jack Whitehall.
And here’s an official synopsis… “The End of the World is coming, which means a fussy Angel and a loose-living Demon who’ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon.
But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it’s too late.”
Speaking to reporters including Express.co.uk last month, Neil Gaiman said he had to reinvent the story for television whilst trying to stay faithful to the millions of fans around the world who have read the book. “But I also wanted surprises and excitement,” he added.
We cannot wait!
Good Omens was filmed in London, Oxfordshire and locations in South Africa and was directed by Douglas Mackinnon.
